“How did I get here?”
Arenar opens his eyes and sits up, surrounded by a circle of mushrooms. He’s bathed in a warm beam of sunlight, and the ground underneath him is soft. There is no sound other than a gentle breeze and Arenar’s own breathing. It’s not at all unpleasant, although he has no idea where he is or how he got here.
A small wooden cross is sticking out of the earth next to Arenar. Is this a grave?
